Hi, I'm the independent developer behind Crispdown.
Crispdown started as a favor for a friend. ChatGPT gave her a brilliant .md research report, and she saw a wall of hashtags and asterisks. She asked me, "how do I turn this into something I can actually send to my boss?"
That question is the whole product. AI tools speak Markdown; most of the world speaks Word and PDF. Every deep-research report, every Claude export, every Cursor note lands as a .md file — fine for developers, baffling for everyone else. So I built the tool I wished existed: open the file, see a beautiful document, click once, hand it in.
What I believe
- Your documents are yours. Crispdown renders everything locally and does not upload your files or telemetry. Even license activation happens on your computer. A document's own external images may still load from their original host. I couldn't read your files if I wanted to — and I don't want to.
- Pay once. Use it forever. No subscription, no account, no "seats". You buy v3, you own v3 — including every v3 update and security fix, forever. A future v4 is optional.
- Small software is good software. Crispdown is one focused tool, built and supported by one person. When you email support, I'm the one who answers — within 24 hours.
- No dark patterns. No fake countdowns, no fake stock, no exit popups, no cookies, no tracking. If a discount says the price will go up, it will.
The boring, honest details
Crispdown is developed by an independent developer — that's me. There's no company behind it. The merchant of record for all purchases is Paddle, which means payments, invoices, VAT and card handling are done by Paddle's infrastructure, not mine. Your card number never touches anything I run.
It's a focused v3 release by a solo maker, so there will be rough edges. When you find one, tell me — the fastest way to shape this product is to email support@592059.xyz. Bug reports, feature requests, and brutal feedback are all genuinely welcome. The changelog shows what's shipping.
